Walesby Village Hall

Walesby Parish Council is based at the Village Hall on New Hill. The hall was previously the village school but now forms a base for community activities and the council office.

The council consists of 7 councillors and comes within the Newark and Sherwood District Council area of Nottinghamshire. Council meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month (EXCEPT for August) at 18.30 in the evening. Meetings are open to the public.

As well as owning the Village Hall the council also owns the Pocket Park which is a recreational area of 3.5 acres. There is a five-a-side soccer pitch and children play equipment available all year round. The council also runs the municipal cemetery which is situated near to the current school on New Hill.
